Starting Your Career
Even before your first day on the job you start your career with us. Once you accept our offer, you have access to a special Internet site to help you understand what to expect during your first few weeks with us. You also get a call from an employee on your new team who has volunteered to help you start your journey. From there you and your manager map out your journey, a specific plan on how you can contribute to the business objectives and what training and development you need to be successful in your new role, as well as help you progress toward your career goals.

Performance Management
Our Development and Performance Management program is designed to focus everyone on moving Sabre Holdings closer to reaching our goals. This objective based program puts the processes and tools in place to ensure the company as a whole is developing our people’s skills, setting clear business objectives, fostering feedback and coaching from managers, and recognizing and rewarding successful achievements.
Training
In addition to specific job-related training, our corporate training department provides training classes on such areas as leadership, business, and finance. In addition to these classroom-training opportunities, we offer extensive eLearning with over 5,000 online courses and over 11,000 online books in business/professional skills, information technology and desktop. All employees have access to eLearning at work and at home. We also assist our employees in obtaining professional certification in various disciplines. Your ability to pursue development in a topic or subject matter that relates to your job responsibilities or helps prepare you for your future career path is boundless and encouraged.
Tuition Reimbursement
Our tuition-reimbursement program provides you with the opportunity to work toward a degree from accredited colleges and universities that will support our business. The program offers employees up to $5,250/year, with manager's approval of coursework that relates to employee's job responsibilities. The reimbursement covers the costs to attend the course, including tuition and books. More than 200 of our employees are working on undergraduate degrees, MBAs and Ph.Ds from both online universities and brick-and-mortar campuses.
Social Responsibility
We care about our communities, and the people who live in them, through contributions and volunteerism. We invest in education initiatives, especially math, science and technology. Our signature education program, Math Can Take You Places, provides students in grades four through six with experiences necessary to develop problem-solving and higher-level-thinking skills. Our second signature program, Travel For Good, was launched in 2006 to promote voluntourism, or volunteer-based vacation experiences for customers as well as employees. Also introduced in 2006 is GoZero, the first program of its kind that allows our customers to offset the environmental impact of their travel with a contribution to The Conservation Fund’s tree planting program. You’ll have opportunities to become involved, during and after work, in our employee volunteer program. We log 14,000 hours each year on company-sponsored volunteer initiatives. Since 2000, through employee and company contributions, charities around the world have received a total of $8.7 million.
