My grandkids didn’t know it, but I think I was even more excited about our vacation than they were. I was flying into Phoenix from my home in New York to pick them up along with my daughter and son-in-law, and then the five of us were renting a minivan to drive to Sea World in California. I hadn’t seen them in nearly two years, so this was truly a very special trip.
My flight to Phoenix was smooth, but when I arrived at the car rental counter, everything went wrong. I found out that the vehicle I reserved through Travelocity couldn’t be taken out of state, and after hours of trying to find another minivan at a comparable rate with no success, I thought I was going to have to cancel the trip to SeaWorld – I dreaded seeing the disappointment on my grandkids’ faces.
Not knowing what else to do, I finally decided to call Travelocity. Not only did the helpful phone representative get the problem resolved, but he also rebooked the reservation at a lower price!
Since we live across the country from each other, quality time like this is precious to my family and me. Travelocity was able to save our trip, and for that I am forever grateful... and will be a loyal customer from now on!
